I haven't raced anyone in while since its winter now and cold, but today was a very nice day. On my way home this afternoon, an Eclipse GST pulled up next to me as we were driving. At the next light, he comes over to my lane behind me. From my rear view I can see a large intercooler hiding behind his bumper. I thought to myself all right about time I see another modded import. There are not many seriously modded vehicles around me, or at least I never get to see or race them.

I started off from the light nice and easy. I reached about 4000 rpm in second and held it there. I watched from my mirror and saw the GST start pulling over to the lane next to me. I hit it as soon as he got side by side with me. He actually started pulling a bit while I was winding out second. As I hit third I started to pass him. I looked over and he looked back at me. He had a friend in the passenger seat all giggling and smiling. It's a great feeling, looking at someone while your passing them and knowing that there going as fast as they can.

Anyhow, by the time I hit fourth he was about 2 or 3 cars back. We pulled up at the next light and he nodded at me and I nodded back. As we started to go when the light turned green, I heard a BOV, and him grind second gear. It was funny.

Just thought I'd share my quick race.

 

Very nice, he was probably more impressed with your S! Its not every day you see a supercharged S2000. Congrats on the W!
