KleeftonSi --- What is the LS sitting in....CRX, hatch,...?

By the way it isn't just an LS is it? It really is an LS/VTEC. Now that would be a hell of a combination sitting in a sub 2000lb CRX!

What happened to the video link?

I don't want to sound like a jerk here, but hey what exactly is the frist thing about honda tuning?

I mean from the way they run around here no one has learned it in New Mexico...

honda tuning..let me try to break this down to you....how to make your car fast and i dont mean going out and buying a comptech header , i mean trying different compression, stroke , bore , bottom end , cranks , head milling , welding cumbustion chambers , using 86mm sleeves with some endyns , cam profiles, head ports, gearing .....that type of stuff

lol... didn't know that guy was still selling those pistons... i was on the board for a bit when things got nasty a few months back...

Anyway here is a real question for you... all that work, in a true street car (full weight) nets what sort of 1/4 mile times and traps?

See here is where we disagree on basic tuning principles. With a 2.0L or sub 2.0L motor, you don't have a whole lot of options if your going to really stay at full street weight. I mean you can push some decent HP, and even impress a few mustangs and such, but the fact is that for a motor that small you just can't beat boost.

Even T.O.O would agree with that...

My hat is off to the turbo S2000 guys, as they must be fun cars to drive, but i don't get why a good number of the honda crowd are so stuck on the all motor thing... it just really does not make that much sense.

i am a big fan of turbocharged honda motors , honda's stock design has many qualities that make it ideal, pent-proof, 4-valve-per-cylinder, quench type. high turbulence, inherent shallow valve angle, centrally locatedspark plug, and low surface-area-to-volume ratio, nearly optimal for fast ,detonation free stable burn..
But lately i've been messing around with normal aspirated configurations and the results are awsome... high 12's on integras is no problem on street trims...

In truth, and most of the forced induction import guys will not admit this, once you get to the point of building up the motor and running boost with a decent ECU, all things are pretty much the same. The honda head is nice and i don't think anyone disagrees there, but i guess what i am talking about is that people seem to think going FI is a "sell out" or at least thats what i hear from some of the honda boards all the time....

As far as high 12s on a pure street car NA... i am not sure i belive that unless we are talking a H22 in a CRX or something like that... i mean i know there are NA hondas in the 12s, but i think my definition of a street car is a little different. Heck i had to add weight (decent stereo and like 50lbs of dynamat) to my car to make it feel like a good street car to me

I think this whole topic was a little blown out of proportion. 1- He did not say he could beat an s2000, he merely said thier not as fast as he thought.(hence 1's opinion) 2- A few of the s2k owners seemed to have taken offense to that, and have now challenged him to race for 1k dollars.

Ok....a low 14sec car talking shit to a low 15sec car, and asking him to bet 1k dollars on a race. How immature, but I'LL RACE UR SLOW ASS...

One good example of a fast all-motor integra....

Jeff Taylors GSR.... Won the last 4 NIRA events.....241whp and 159ft/lb of torque...12.54 @ 109MPH Trap speeds...just imagine with less weight...N/A is the way to go now on a Honda.
