Yay, you found the problem. Yeah that sounds like a VERY good reason why he walked you.

 

You would have better luck in 3rd gear not 4th next time.

 

Yeah i figured that was it. As far as dropping to third gear, that was my own fault since i should've been more familiar with rpms at mph and did not want to over rev the engine.

If you are going at 70ish when downshift to 4th there is no way in hell you are in vtec........ or even downshift to 4th and hit 70 no way youll be in vtec.....? Correct me if im wrong.
Cuz in 3rd our car hit high 78ish, well i have an Ap2 so i don't know what ap1 is like but im sure its close -/+ mph.
