Default Roush Mustang GT are slow

With all the Mustang bashing that has been occuring this week, I thought I add a little insult to injury

Last night around 10pm I was heading out to meet some friends when I noticed a dark colored Mustang ahead of me weaving in and out of traffic. Coming up close I noticed it was a Roush Mustang with a pretty loud exhaust. Pulling up next to him I glimpsed over and he had a little smirk on his face; I guess he thought he was the shit because he has a body kit on his Mustang. Anyways light goes green and the kid punches it and started swirving in and out of traffic again; listening to his exhaust I noticed it was an automatic Traffic was slightly congested so he didn't get too far.. So I thought I have a little fun before I get wasted at the bar.

I followed him for several blocks where he was stuck behind another car and I came up on the far right lane. I downshifted from 4th to 2nd gear doing about 45mph when he see him changing lanes to pass the other car; he sees me coming and we both punch it. Immediately I pulled about a car on him, towards the end of 2nd and going into 3rd I kept pulling. Towards the middle of 2nd about 80mph I had a good 2 1/2 cars and pulling. We both came up on traffic and had to let off and slow down. At this point he rolled up his window and stayed behind me for the next several miles until he turned.

Now I can only how bad of a hurting I can spank GT Mustangs with an 06 M5

I've asked a bunch of Roush drivers what "stage" their car model is. I'd say 90% of them were just body and side exhaust. Too much American rice out there!

I've seen that with the Saleen's as well. Many, many V6 mustangs running around out there with the whole Saleen body kit. That's just as bad as putting a Type R badge on a base model Civic imo.

I had one stick with me until around 80 in the 911 turbo.

They run the range from stickers and noise to noise and power ... with stickers too.

Is it just my car or do you run 3.2 final gear so you can do 80mph in 2nd?

I worked at a Ford Dealership that sold Roush Mustangs. A stage 1 is a V6 with a body kit, "fresh air intake", and a side exhaust. A stage 2, which is more common, is a V8 with a body kit, "fresh air intake", and a side exhaust. The S2000 will beat both of these hands down. Roush also made a stage 3. It had a supercharged V8 that produced 380HP, that would beat our car.

I would have to agree that these cars are too much american rice. All show no go. Except the stage 3. Just my $.02
