RX-8 stories, anyone?
What kind of mods would make a Rx8 more race-worthy against a stock or mildly modded (i/h/e) S? I had walked quite a few of them, its becoming a habit to pick on them and they never fail to take the bait. Has anyone encountered the heavily modded "sharks" yet?
edit: btw, the local dealerships here have about 10-15 on the lot per dealership, just about all colors and trims, covered in dust, and rust on the rotors...

i raced one witth i/h/e and spanked him from 55 to 149. i had him by about 7-8 cars. so if you have i/h/e its going to take boost for a rx-8 take pull on you.

they're just not that fast of cars. but a another crippling feature is that their gears are very tall.
The car was overrated coming out (and still is). Not to mention still somewhat new, with limited performance parts still out. Anybody that tells you that they have headers for the car is completely lying to you. Headers for this car are enormously expensive, and have shown minimal gains. Very few companies export them, and even fewer people have them.

My friend has a turbo'd RX8, it still needs proper mapping (he's getting done on tuesday, we are both going do to the rolling road for the day should be fun ) but i have beaten him from standstill to over 100, and from about 30 to 120+.
The only time he is faster is if i'm not in the right gear, then TQ takes over....
There is no doubt, his car is fast and he doesn't have to change down... but then thats why we have gear boxes
