i view the rx-8 as a GSR. bout the same speed it seems. maybe i am wrong.

Yeah -- oddly the RX8 does drive a lot like a rear wheel drive ITR. The chassis feels similar and the power is almost identical.

You have some crazy Puerto Ricans (kings of the rotaries) running 19 psi of boost on custom turbo kits.
Kind of offtopic, but, what's the deal with the popularity of the rotary in puerto rico anyway? I've always wondered how/why they became the guru's of dragging rotary-engined cars.

I guess they imported a few of them (RX2's & 3's) onto the island, and it just spread from there. They have some of the fastest rotaries on the planet on that little island.

i haven't raced an rx-8 in the s2k yet. bout to get my toda race header and hks hiper exhaust so prolly won't be worth my time. i did however race one when i had my 2001 celica gt-s 6 speed. i had intake and trd exhaust on it. the driver of the rx8 was some hott girl. it was a manual so i definately give her props for that. i barely inched up on it, i'm sure she probably would have pulled back if we kept going but owell.

yea the rx-8 is the slow...so unfortunately, since i really dig the looks and the interior
