RX7 or S2000
I know there will be alot of biass opinions on this board but now that we have talked about these 2 cars on this thread, I want to see your opinions on this. I have a 95' RX7 twin-turbo and I dont know whether to keep it or sell it and get an S2000. What do you guys think?
You like bang4buck mods? Keep the RX-7.
You like destroying in street races? Keep the RX-7.
You been lucky with reliability? Keep the RX-7.
You want to save some money? Keep the RX-7.
You have money to burn? Get the S2000.
You itching for a convertible? Get the S2000.
You like dancing thru the twisties? Get the S2000.
You want a new, reliable car? Get the S2000.
The RX-7 is great. Fast, fun, great looking, and really moddable. But you already know that. One knock I hear a lot is reliability. I wanted one pretty bad for a few years, but they were asking $20k, which I couldn't justify for a four year old car. Plus I really wanted a roadster with a warranty so I got the S2000.
The two cars are similar in terms of (stock) performance, although they probably have very different personalities. I like 'em both. Probably not worth buying the S2000 unless you're tired of the RX-7, you want wind in the hair, and you've got money burning a hole in your pocket.

it depends on what you want
do you want to have an phenomanlly desgined car that has f1genes?
do you want to feel the wind as you drive?
do you want a car that will give most cars a run for their money in the straights and demolish them in the twisties?
if you have said yes to anyone of these then the s2k would be a better choice

If you have the RX-7 now i'd stick with it man regardless of what all these people say because thier opinion is VERY biast.. as for me im not gonna tell you to run out and buy a supra cause im not a biast person (Although if you do ever get a hold of one gimme a call and we'll go tear up the town
) but really as far as performance goes the RX-7 R2 can take most any S2000 (lightly modded or stock) and if not then you can spend not even 2 G's and make it BPU and dust even vipers and supras.. theres not a day that goes by that i donthear my friend talking about his RX-7 and how fast it is and how he beat a viper 2 wekks ago.. (NO BS i was there it was incredible) but hey you can do a "bleeder T" mod and a TTC for less than 50 bucks and have the same outcome... Its your call personally i'd keep the RX #1 because its faster BPUed than any "Comptech supercharged " or most any other tuned S2k.. and if you want a modded S2k bewarte of the depleting bank account cause your gonna have to pay alot more for mods than you will with an RX. #2 They are pretty rare cars, ive only seen 4 with in 400 miles of here and i saw 3 S2k's last night alone .... #3 They Look INCREDIBLE With a nice body kit .. and where else are you gonna hear that classic loud ass Blow-off valve sound .. definately not out of a supercharged s2k... no flames intended i love s2000's i think they look tight and are pretty damn fast.... i love mostly all imports so this isnt a flaming reply i just wanted to state my opinion... later guys good luck with your decision

You Supra, RX-7, Corvette dudes can flame me all you want...
...But if you're a dude in his 20s, single, and have enough fashion sense to know not to wear a brown belt with black shoes and wear socks with sandals, you're probably going to be able to take advantage of the S2000's high-profile.
I fully realize it's not an exotic like a Ferrari or has the floss of a big-bodied Benz riding on chromes, but I have had many encounters that tell me this car absolutely "screams."
The Supras and RX-7s of this world are fine cars and we're pretty damn fortunate to nitpick here. But you just can't mod style and flash into a car. The S2000's got both straight from the factory.
This is how it is for ME.

seeing as how the 95's are even rarer than any other year of the 3rd gens, why would u wanna get rid of it?!? the only plus you could get out of trading the car in is the drop-top. other than that, you have everything else the s2k has to offer in your car already.. and a LOT more

No flames intended man im not here to troll im just giving my personal opinion. i think that s2k's are tight man ... but then again the rx is faster adn looks like a little mini viper.. i had to take a double take last weekout the corner of my eye i thought i saw a viper and it turned out to be an RX(a friends) but regardless RX-7's and supras are definatley eye candy to women and just any other person .. they are noticable because they are rare... you dont think much of me.. thats cool ... im a senior in high school man and im telling you ... there is a kid with a black on black s2k and he parks next to me .... and the first day i got my supra was also the first day that he got his s2k and 75% of the people came to me first and talked to me about my car and thought mine was tighter.. not to start a flame fight but they just werent don with hondas... now i think hondas are dope man im in a car club here and there are like 30 Si's and a couple s2k's and i think all hondas for the most part are tight little cars.. they run for ever and they are very reliable.. on the other hand you have to drop 3 times as much in to one of them ot even come close to beating a supra or 300zx or even an RX-7.. now this is all my personal experiances.. im just telling you i get complements on my car allthe time and chances are the guy next to me may get a couple but more than likely peeps look at RX's and 300zx's and supras more than they would with an S2k..remember "NO FLAMES INTENDED" have a good one take it easy man ....
