Really? An R1 does a 1/4 mile in sub 10s and 145mph!!
ie the same time as a Veyron, a laferrari and a P1. I would be very surprised if even that 600bhp S2000 in the fs would keep up, especially given the traction limitations
I did a rolling test against a 911 turbo on a 600rr and destroyed it, not anywhere near close

Had a close encounter with a GSX-R today which gave a good example of the speed differential between an s2000 and a 1000 sports bike. I was at full chat doing silly speed, when out of nowhere came this thing passing me like I was parked up. I didn't even see him coming, which I think he realised as he passed really closely even there wasn't anything else on the road. Nearly sh!t myself. 
Unbelievably quick. 
Then a while later, after I had changed my underwear, I had a play with a BMW 330d x-drive. I was really surprised it wasn't any quicker than my stock S.

Depends on both drivers and the situation.
Straight line from rolling/standing start and you've got no chance.
I had a play with one about 5 years ago on some country roads. He had a full car and was trying to impress the passagers . I kept right with him and had to back off in the corners (he had a good few 100kgs of passagers remember).
He wasn't best pleased but still gave me the thumbs up as we parted our separate way.
These days it's a different story..... I now leave them behind in all situations
