try launching at 7500 next time. i've tried various rpms under that and they don't seem to do as well as 7500 does. good luck!

every car takes awhile to get rly used to.. take ur time with it.. and if u still dont get it down.. atleast ur driving a sweet looking car..

there is no single rpm you should always launch at. launching will vary with traction conditions.

that said, see the thread listed in my sig. it has video and discussion of proper launching and shifting techniques.
