Curious of the outcome or if anyone has raced one...? I've looked at the specs and seen times of 14.3 stock I pulled a 14.3 w/ my stock S2000 at the track...Someone at work has a 500 Sl we might run at the track its a 92 i believe..

 

A 92 in good shape might be close, just be glad its not a new one.

 

I know the Hp difference is about 75 i mean its a 5.0 V8 315 Hp but its an Auto so Im thinking the power to weight and gearing is on my side :-)

 

Will come down to how good you shift, A 92' Benz automatic will shift pretty slow.

 

A good driver should pull easy 13.7s,on a stock S.

 

Ive actually raced one from a light.. I have an 02 and I was playing catch up until 3rd gear and finally got side to side..... but then again I had a full trunk and a keg beside me

I work at a valet parking company, and I had that experience, except that I was in the 500. I beat an S2k and some others on the straights. I got owned in the twisties by the S2k though.

 

s2k is FASTER THAN THE sl500 however the s2k isnt as much luxuriouse than the sl500. Anyways the sl55 can beat the s2k not sl500.

 

Alot of varibles factor that.. Im sure the best i could do at the sh*tty track i go would be a 14.0 OSW sucks the first season of pinks! was filmed there..
