hey man, what happened? looks like he downshifted and braked too hard in the rear?

I dont know exactly what happened, because I'm not a bike guy.
He seemed to lock up the rear tire with over-braking, and just slide straight.

The sad thing was that he shattered his collarbone.
Also sad was that the lead bike crashed after he heard the #2 bike crash, and looked back to see what happened. He dropped his bike too!

looks like he wasnt paying attention, wasnt ready fore the turn, said "ooohhhhh shit " and off he went.

Looks like the 3rd guy did a little drift there to close out the wreck

By the looks of it, he came in too hot, thought he could take it at current speed, instead of committing to the turn and leaning further, he pulled up and slammed his rear brake, causing him to lock up and wreck into the mountain, I see this alot because I ride

I agree with the going into the corner too hot. Hes lucky it was just a collarbone.
