S2000 vs E46 M3
I've always thought these cars were super car quick - not any more
He was behind a car waiting for it move over while I shadowed him and held 3rd gear at about 7k rpms.
When the car in front moved over he floored, I floored it, but somehow he wasn't happy to move over when it was clear I was faster
I backed off and flashed him.
We were travelling at over 3 figures so he was definitely trying - he just wasn't fast enough.
The 4.77 gears makes a difference as I've also thrashed a 350Z recently.

Good kill.
I ran a E36 M3, when I had my s2k, from about 20 to 80 and I had a slight lead the whole time. It was a similar situation as your encounter, except I was in front. When we came up to the next light he switched lanes next to me and gave me the thumbs up.

...but, out of curiosity, what ever made you think that a ~330hp, 3400+ lb. car is "supercar" quick?
