With *similar* gearing, and redlines, the Elise should still win because each of its ponies has less weight to carry.

Laugh my ****ing ass out w/ an ap1 you better have more then that..
Dumbass! He did run 13.5 @ 105mph with his 227whp S2K, more than enough to beat a stock Elise from a roll.

with the same 100-101 traps as a stock s2k. its much like the STi, out of thrid gear its a dog.

when it comes to corners though, the s2k is no match.
You don't hear that last one everyday now do you!

Given they are awesome handling car's, I agree with you that they really aren't that fast in straight line exceleration. My buddy Steven had one for a while, and my bolt-on AP1 would put 2-3 car's on him when he was completly stock from 30-110 or so. He would be right next to me in 1st and most of 2nd, but by the end of 2nd and into 3rd and 4th, I would start to pull on him. They definitely have a lack of top end, but whatever, totally not what the car was designed for. Kinda like compairing drag times to 2 car's who basically suck at drag racing, or at least is both's biggest weakness...

yup, the three-four shift heard round the world. that was the run too, if i would nailed 4th, i would trapped over 106. 105.9 with a missed 4 and a 2.2 60'. with a 2.0 60' and a smooth shift that would have been a 13.4 run all day.

oh well, my new setup should run 13.5 all day, and with 250whp 13.0 is more than doable.

I don't know exactly, but I would assume the obvious. If you don't do the work yourself it would run you at least the labor to take the tranny off. Probably $ 3-400 buck's there alone. But if you can do it yourself, im sure the delay valve wouldn't be that hard to remove from the clutch. But honestly I wouldn't know for sure. I had an AP1, which came without it, and that stock clutch was goneee a while ago!!

I"ve tracked an elise and you can really tell the weight advantage to it. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade MY07 for an elise any day of the week, but they are very capable cars. I've been on a 3.4mi track w/ an elise for 40+ minutes and never saw it so it was probably putting out similar times. In my opinion, the s2k is a lot more pleasurable to drive on and off the track.

Now... the owner of that elise just got himself a turbo elise that is pulling 390HP. I haven't seen the car in action yet, but that is sure to be a heartstopper.
