Are you talking 0-60, 1/4 mile, road course times? With the right driver, a stock S should give an Evo a good run for it's money.

Yeah I would think so. If you put I/H/E and cams you should be able to a Evo. But it kinda sad because you put Ecu and exhaust it net a good 30 HP.

Every thread that has to do with drag type situations will always get at least one response like that..

True, but not needed as a reply.

It's like saying the S2000 wasn't meant for getting groceries when someone asks something about it...

Owners should be able to have fun with their cars however they please

I "tied" an evo the other day. Now maybe he had his a/c on and was not a good driver (not that I am), but he did not pull away. You also have to remember that the evo is a all-wheel drive car and that has to take down the whp. All I have done to my S is an intake.

You can spend as much money as you want to beat an evo, but if an evo spent the same as you he'll crush you. If thats what you want to do i dont suggest all motor to much money not enough power compared to FI. That being said FI has its draw backs.

While the S2000 may not be a drag car, straight line acceleration is important in nearly every application (in terms of automotive performance). Basically, it's part of a well rounded performance car.
