Lee, I believe he's referring to a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, the one with the supercharged 240 HP V6

Honestly I have no clue, but conservatively I'd say 30ish HP. I just can't imagine that someone with a factory FI car would spend $800 on an exhaust that may add 10HP and not spend $80 on a pulley to add 30HP.

 

He had his top down. There is the disclaimer right there. At those speeds with the top down, major drag. If he would have it up that would be worth another couple car lenths.

 

I've raced my stock MR2 Turbo against a GTP w/ K&N drop in and straight pipe exhaust from a stop. I easily took him from the launch and put about 1 1/2 car lengths on him. He did start to inch his way up a bit towards the end of the race though. I was fairly impressed. Then a week later, I rode along in the GTP and raced a lightly modded 99-00 Si which actually pulled on it until we got to higher speeds. Then a 01 Eclipse GT w/ auto pulled on the GTP in 4th gear. The GTP did have 2 passengers including me (195lbs.).

I lost to one at the track last week. He ran a 13.817 and I ran a 14.344. It was super fast. Don't know what mods he had but no headlight with air intake in its place and it was loud as hell.
