Default S2000 vs TC

So im coming back from returning some christmas presents that let say "dont fit". Im driving south on US1 at the 104 street light. I hear from behind me the loudest most obnoxious exhaust ever. I look in my rearview and see a TC with HID's. He keeps revving it up and hitting the rev limiter. I am with my g/f and she gives me that look, you know the one that thru the burning stare says dont even think about it. The light turns green and I slowly roll off, hit VTEC just to remind him that its an S2000. At the next light we line up next to each other, light goes green and we slowly roll off he punches it in first and so do I. Pull half a car thru first, throw second pull two and half cars, throw third pull even harder, by the time Im at 8 grand in third Im so far ahead I let off. We get to the next red light and he pulls up and asks is it stock I say pretty much all I have is an intake. He replies Ive beaten stock ones. I laugh and pull away when the light turns green. The most surprising thing was the fact the my girl during my third gear said " where did he go".....

Someone please tell me that a TC with minimal bolt ons cant beat a stock S2K...

They're just a Camry. With the S/C, they're as "fast" as an 06+ Si or MkV GTI.

I raced a tuned turbo TC on 16lbs of boost and it was a dead even race from 1st till the top of 5th i only had a intake at that time. So a TC will need a whole lot more than some basic bolt-ons to beat a s2k.

When I first got my S a friend of my G/F's spouted out, "Let's go race those things, I'll smoke it". (He has a TC)

His other friend who actually knows a thing or two quickly reminded him that it wouldn't even be worth our time to which he replies "No, and Civic Si is faster than an S2000"

After MUCH more convincing he finally shut his mouth, although maybe we should race and show him first hand

Now whenever I see him he goes "Yo, let me take your car for a spin" (No chance in hell)

It all depends on the size of the turbo, thats like saying because something has 8 cylinders it's gotta be fast.

my best buds got tChits.

one has:

springs, headers, exhaust, cai, 225/40-18 wheels, full body kit and short shifter.

the other;

coilovers (lowered more in the front for more traction), cai, exhaust, reflash, 245/45-17 lightweight wheels (yes, i said 245...all around), short shifter, racing fuel, completly stripper because it camed from an autox (so no seatbelts, rear seats, sparetire, tools, etc).

Well, I raced them back when my MS6 was stock. I raped them pretty hard. They're worthless.

Ya I didnt think TC's were that fast. I have a friend that just bought one because he saw one online that actually was making power from being boosted. After he bought the car he later found out that, it had about 12k into the motor.
