There was a video on Youtube like this. It was a good one. I think the SC'd S2k nosed away. From a dig you're toast, but from a roll the S2k may be a little stronger.
thats one of my favs. and he did just nose away, he WALKED away pretty impressively too.

That's a cool video. The S2000 has a Vortech blower, which makes a bit more boost than the Comptech (7.0psi vs. 5.5psi). I'll wait until my boss gets his C4S past break-in miles, and then report back.

evolution mr would win. against an evo 8 the outcome might be different.

the dude with the supercharged s2k that beat the Carrera porsche is a member here (hes from kuwait)

the temperature here in kuwait is like above 100F almost every day in summer, so would that have decreased his performance in the race?
(btw he was running stock boost with no tuning done whatsoever)

I can't speak for anyone else, but my Vortech S2000 was more than a match for a 996 C4S. I can't see it losing to a 997 but I never was able to line up with one.

Hope that helps.

id expect the high temp to hurt both cars, but ive heard that at altitude turbo doesnt pay a penalty b/c the boost level puts the full 7psi air into the engine, whereas the NA cars in at altitude just have 20% less air to work with to maintain the spec a/f ratio. is that true? if so, maybe temp has similar effects...

who would win, MY2000 s2000 with i/h/e vs. audi a4 3.2 ?

A friend of mine has the audi and seems confident he can beat me. Before anyone asks, no im not doing this on the street, when I race him it'll be at a strip

google hasn't turned up much info on the times/performance of the a4 3.2 ....all I can find on wiki is that it has ~the same bhp as an s2000, but weighs more and has quattro?

Alrighty guys...

I got a cocky MS3 that is wanting to run. He has an aftermarket intake (CP-E), motor mount (AWR 88 durometer), and an open DP. I was wondering what kind of power he would be putting down with these mods? Seems like the open DP might actually hurt him, seeing has he has no electronic tuning, whatsoever (just running stock ECU).

I was thinking a 30 roll would be a good race (to 120ish or so), as it would put him in 1st around 5500RPM, which (from what I have read) is where the MS3 engine starts to poop out. If that is unsuccessful, I should be able to take him from a dig because of the boost limitation in gears 1-2, right?

Running tomorrow. I have an INJEN CAI and Comptech CBE. I have a VAFCII installed, but its not tuned yet. I figure I am probably around 200rwhp with my mods...

Any input would be appreciated. Also, he is going to have a friend riding with him to video. And I have about 100lbs of extra audio equipment, but have removed the spare...

Any input welcome! Please discuss....

John
