S2k VS New Maxima
I was coming home from school today when a new Mustang GT and a new Maxima came flying by me. I was going about 55mph already in a 45mph zone, so i figured they were at least doing 80+mph. I caught up to them at the next light and the GT took off, making a right turn into some neighborhood.
Well, me and the maxima lined up, current model, lowered on 18s, big exhaust, didnt look like it had much done to it. Well anyways, we did a short run from the light. Revved it up, dumped the clutch at about 7k, spun for a split second, tires hooked up and i just put at least 1 car in front of the maxima. 2nd gear came around and i put about 2 more cars, 3rd gear and it was over. I slowed down, and the maxima comes flying up next to me again at the next light.
"Lets run again, i got a bad launch"
"Ok....."
This time i launched at appx 6.5k and got almost the perfect launch ever. I immediately put 1 car on the maxima. 2nd gear, and the maxima creeps up next to me, and just TOOK OFF!!!!!!!!!! shift to 3rd, and hes a good 4-5 car lengths ahead!
Ok...im looking in awe as we come to the next light and we start talking.
"What the hell do u have in there?"
"Nothing much, just a s/c and a small 40shot NOS"
"NOTHING MUCH??!??!??!!?"
"Hahahaa..."
Takes off before i could say anything else...
Oh well, you win some you lose some.

With as much as he beat you by, I'd say he had supercharger and NOS. The 2002 Maxima has a revamped engine, but is still slow. Locally I have seen 1/4 mile times on this new car of around 15.3 seconds or so. This is a slow car. Bad start. lol. Correction, let me turn on my NOS to give me that extra little edge. You got duped. Oh well, as you say... win some, lose some.

i think its retarded to make a ff car fast. unless you are strictly drag and compete. plus i hear s/c and nos is a no no.
p.s. the best of us get sprayed
im thinking about spraying a 50 shot. i am really considering a speedcraft turbo. i want one soo bad, i dont think i will spray much with that turbo much.
