s2k vs newer model mustang GT
So I'm on my way to the as-of-now ex-girlfriends house, when I have to stop at a light on a 3 lane highway. My tops down and I look to the left to find the passenger in the GT eyeballing my ride. I crack a smile and give him a nod, then he says something to the driver. I wasn't going to race him, esp from a dig, but when he revved up at me, I couldn't resist.
As the light turned green, we both eased out on our clutches, and when they were fully engaged I went WOT. Shift from first to second was slow, but I wasn't going to risk it with the second gear grind (that I'm all too familiar with), so I was gentle. We stay neck and neck until about halfway through second, when he starts to pull away. The GT had me until we meet traffic at about 70-80 mph and I hit the brakes. He pulled a half a car on me AT THE MOST.
Today officially blows; glad it's over now.

I was cautious. And he didn't pull on me until a couple seconds after I was in gear. I have an ap1 completely stock, and I have no idea if he had anything or not, but my shift to second wasn't THAT slow.

Going wot AFTER easy engagement = bog
A hard launch might have had him. Then again that would be sort of a sucker punch if he didn't launch. BTW DO NOT try to race a new GT that is automatic. They rape us.
