driving back from my cousins wedding. a car with the HID was tailing me too close that i cant see his hid anymore. i already know he wanted to race so i downshifted to 2nd gear and went for it. he stayed at my butt a lil bit but i started pulling more and more. After that a turn was coming up. he was still at my rear bumper so i heel and toe made the turn. i floored it after the turned and he was still trying to chase me.

2nd gear 2 cars
3rd gear 4 cars
4th gear 2 bus

my turn to get to my house was coming up so i slowed down and went to the left lane. I gave him a thumbs up and he waived back at me smiling.

i think this rx8 was stock. i dont know if he has intake installed.

my mods: intake,race header, test pipe,and exhaust.

 

You beat the automatic RX8 with 190HP (or something like that). It wouldn't have mattered if he had an intake or not.

 

190 hp?? i thought they were a little more potent than that... i ran one a few weeks ago and only beat him by a car and a half... also, when did he say it was automatic??? Good kill

RX8 with 4-sp automatic trans only has 192HP at the crank.

His race result indicated it.

It's all good. You didn't need to feel bad about being a newb when it comes to cars.

 

My buddy has a 04 6spd RX8. He's confident it has more gusto than the S. Only time will tell though...

 

Your buddy has no clue what he's talking about, an S2K shouldn't have any trouble whatsoever with a 6 speed RX8 (stock they typically only dyno 180RWHP or so on a dynojet).
