Default s2k vs s2k

Well, heading home yesterday, I noticed another fellow s2k member on the streets turning onto the street I was driving on. He had an exhaust and also 19" rims in the rear and a passenger. I was alone. I currently have an intake and 4.77. So we took off 3 times. The first time, he mis-shifted on second gear but I was ahead atleast 1-2 cars at the time. The second time we ran, By 4th gear, I was probably 5-7 carlengts. For the last run, we had similar results. I asked him after what he had and he advised he also had 4.77 gears. I'm not sure what other mods he had under the hood but I saw the exhaust he had. Do you think those results are accurate. Do rims affect the car that much. I have a 01 and I wasn't sure what year his was.. Should I have beat him by more??

Yep Big rotational weight will slow you down, so will the added passenger.

There's a video on streetfire of a stock S2K vs a 350z with boltons. The vid shows 2 runs. 1st run, passenger in the Z.. Z pulls slowly to 1 car length. 2nd run, passenger in S2k.. Z walks away. Good video to see the effect of a single passenger.

edit.. I can't spell.
