wats up people...have had a few races with my S.
first up...modded VW GTI..phase 3 software, full decat n CAI.
met up on the freeway..we both slowed down to about 100kph...put it down together...we were neck n neck till 220kph..then we broke for traffic. met the dude later n chatted bout mods..he was shocked my car is std.

here in SA we get the ford focus ST. its a 2.5 5 cyclinder 20v turbo..raced a few like those.with minor mods i can hold them off first 4 gears..then they start inching away..but there are a few running around in the 250kw region that destroy me. can only hold them off the line cos i pullout 1 car ahead. when they catch traction in 3rd they catch up n pass

also raced a new spec audi S3..also met up on the freeway..i had 1 passenger he had 2. the S3 is 4 wheel drive and 188kw. we put it down about 70kph..every gear i opened him a car gap till about 220. after that he starts coming back but cant pass cos we run out of straight.

my car runs a mid to low 14 sec here in SA. surprised that s2k std runs in the 13's in the USA. lots of our std cars seem to be about 1/2 -1 sec slower here in SA std.
maybe its the fuel here. lots of cars that reach our shores r detuned cos of the poor fuel.

n e way thanks for reading. any mods u people suggest to improve times? my mate with his audi TT jus upgraded his turbo so need to play catch with him n my other mate with burger tuning chipped 335 destroys us both. bout time i do som stuf.

by the way my car is std and made 207whp at last dyno day. the modded gti made 240whp. the 335 made 439whp!!!!! that car is detroying alot of cars localing. that burger tuning products really work. he also has decat and methanol mist.

 

been readin abit more on the forum..do the usa s2k rev to 8500?
mine revs clean to 9000 and sometimes to 10 000rpm. car is def stock as i bought it from the honda dealer and it has full warrenty and maintainace plan.

 

Here in the states (and a few other countries) our AP2 (2004+) s2000's get a 2.2L that revs to 8200rpm. Elsewhere in the world they kept the 2.0L that revs to 9000rpm.

 

The 2 cheapest mods that you can do only will get you power is I/E. That will give you 20whp if your lucky looking for just performance out of thoses parts. S2k is not good with mods : (

Just be careful, man. You never know when a friendly street race can be a death defying stunt.

 

ya will def be careful. use the S mainly for weekend runs along the coast etc....but its tends to attract alot of races..really enjoy driving this car along the coast with all the twisties..

 

ya it sometimes revs to 10 000 in 2nd gear..not sure why...happens mostly when i drop from 3rd into 2nd and floor it. only happens in that gear.
