I was cruising home (taking the long way) after a HouStooks get together last night, a white ITR was just chilling next to me while we cruised next to a cop. I turned off of the street we were one, continuing my way home...he got behind me and followed me. I knew he wanted to run.
Once we got about half a mile down the road, I punched it and got through traffic...the guy was surprisingly not that far behind me. Once it opened up I slowed down, let him catch up. He pulled up on my left, I just waited for him to go. He dropped, and floored it. By the time I shifted into 3rd he had a car length on me. It took all of 3rd gear for me to match speed, and start to gain an inch. At first I was like, "Doh!", because I didn't gain much in 3rd gear. But, then 4th gear took me from one car behind, to one car ahead. I probably gained another car length before I shut it down towards the top of 5th gear.
The guy pulled up next to me and we talked. Turns out he was supercharged. His car was pretty quick. It was pretty stealth too, he didn't have anything ricey or cheesy on the car. Looked pretty much stock.
