Default Should I be worried about an Eclipse?

A guy here at the office has a 99 Eclipse RS. Since I got my car, he's been talking smack, and he's finally decided to get a turbo (Hahn Stage II-estimated 250-275 hp running 8-10 psi). How much should I worry about him totally embarassing me?

Should be a good race, if his turbo doesn't blow his Chysler Neon engine. For the price your buddy paid for his base model Eclipse and turbo, he could of have gotten the real deal... an Eclipse GST or GSX for less.

An eclipse running 8-10psi will beat an S2000?

I've raced eclipses running 15psi and BARELY lost or BARELY won. Am I missing something?

I have a good friend with a 91 Plymouth Laser 2WD Turbo. At 7lbs of boost he is pretty much even with the S. Pushing 9=10lbs and you can pretty much say goodbye. He has rebuilt his car/motor to Rally spec, and lemme tell you, at 25lbs of boost, that thing hauls! He has blown up his motor twice, and rebuilt it himself both times, so reliability is neither here nor there for him.

All I can say, is be careful of properly tuned DSM vehicles.

APR tunned GTi is what I have.
It pushes 17 psi at WOT. I have beaten Eclipse GST. Stock of course. They are very easily tunnable.

Just to give you an idea, I ran against s2000 once. I had him until he pulled on me doing over 140mph.

It was on I495 at 4am in the morning. No traffic either direction so it was safe.

What do you have, chip+exhaust?

Also, what is your 1/4 mile?
