Intake and exhaust here, and I got pwned bad by an SS from a roll and stop. You honestly don't stand a chance unless you're squeezing.

I will race him for ya . For real without some serious power he will beat you! really it's not worth the wear and tear of you're car.

haha fran, come to cali!

people on the board are telling him that my car is not made for drag and it's pointless to race me, unless at auto-X. He is a cocky dude too... He is very confident... which he should be.. but what is there to brag about.. "I beat an s2000!"

now they are matching him up with a turbo honda hatch that runs 12.2. I've seen the video of his runs... crazy....

I traded my 2001 6spd hardtop Z28 in May for an Xterra before trading the X for an S2000 May 10th. I had Eibachs and 17x9.5's with 285/40zr17's. It was fast as hell. I never got beat but there aren't many heavily modded cars around here (no superchargers or upgraded turbos). I love my S but I wouldn't dare race an LS1. With the wheel and spring setup I had my Z felt heavy as hell but the back end stuck. I have been a little disapointed with the rear end of the S breaking loose so easy. Its ok in some cases on exits and long turns but on short turns it can be a pain even with S02's.

Sorry for rambling, just my experience. I still think the S is a lot purer and I wouldn't traded for any Ls1.

P.S. Don't run him

Just curious how an S with the Vortech would fare against an Ls1?

BTW, I ordered my Z28 in September 2000. Got it in early November 2000. When I traded it in November 2003 it had just tripped 100,000 and was still running perfect. So I have a pretty good idea how they run.

the slp package spoken about earlier doesnt do much if anything. And yes, many of the guys here are correct about the dyno numbers from the LS1's. You will typically see 290-320 rwhp on these cars with it pulling allllll the way to redline. as for the LT1's, many of us arent stock anymore. Lets just say I fixed my lack of top end power with some upgraded components. have fun good luck

Wow, so many ex-Camaro owners who made a switch to S2000. They are completely opposite cars, yet they made the switch. It's safe to say that most of them would not switch back because the S2K, although considerably slower, is so more fun.

I wouldn't call them completely opposite, they're both front engined, RWD, performance cars. The complete opposite of an S2000 has got to be the H2!
