An 01-02 SS, with the LS6 intake manifold, will typically dyno between 310-320 at the rear wheels in stock form.
Ehh, yes and no. They did get the LS6 intake, but they also got a smaller cam. The range is 290-320 with the freaks at either end and the majority in the 300-05 range.

Why is he picking on you? Tell him to go pick on cars other than a tiny 2.0L N/A. Go pick on Supras, Porsches, etc., and not on little roadsters like S2000, Z4, Boxster, Miata, etc. These are not dragsters. But drive them once and their purpose will show through with flying colors.

I had a 99 z28 before I bought my s2000, I was hit by two civics racing down I-95 and lost control and went backward into the woods totalling my camaro. Anyways most ls1's put down anywhere from 290-305 hp to the wheels stock. Chevy underated the camaro and trans am because they didn't want people knowing it had almost the same power as their beloved corvette. If he is slightly modded usually headers,

I was venturing to guess that the SS, specifically the SLP "supposed" 345HP version, would at least put down 5-15 more at the wheels than the Z....at least I hope it would for the extra money.
They don't. Those are good numbers for your Camaro. You have to love the cheap go-fast parts available for the LS1.

In comparison to the price of modding the S2000, owning that LS1 was heaven.

There's definitely bonuses to owning a mass produced car.

when I had my S2K, I raced an auto 01 Trans Am.. (he had 3.23 gearing) I got off the line better than he did(his Traction control kicked in) , and had perfect shifting, but by 70 mph he had caught up with me, and by the time I was doing about 90, he was an easy 3-4 leingths ahead of me..
