Default STi vs new generation S4

I have a friend that bought a new S4 about 3 months ago....awesome car. I have had a chance to ride on it and drive it and I was very impressed with how smooth the car is overall...handling and shifting are very impressive.

I always wondered how it would stand up against my STi....well, tonight we had a chance. I have to say that both cars are very similar in speed, acceleration and overall performance with a little of an edge to the STi down low and a bit of an edge to the S4 on the top end.

We ran them 4 times:

1. We raced off a roll....about 30 mph....I would inch away slowly....by the time we hit 120 I would have about a car on him....but after 120 he would reel me in....by 140 we were side by side and he started to inch away...we shut it off then.

2. The second roll we did at 60 mph....I would also inch away up until about 120...then the same results of race one.

3. We decided to run off the hole. I think this is pretty much a driver's race. I consider both of us to be equally skilled so I am going to have to give the edge to the STi. I had him by a full car out of the hole and by the time we would get to 100 I would have about 2-3 cars on him.

4. We raced of the hole again and this time we were pretty even but I managed to get an extra 1-2 cars out of him by the time we got to 120....we shut it off then.

I am very happy with the STi performance thus far. She has certainly had her fun here lately. My friend on the S4 was also pretty impressed as he thought his car would have the edge overall.

Very close races and lots of fun, specially out of the hole

Sounds about right...

Boy, you sure have raced a lot since you've broken in your STI, huh?

BTW, are you a guy or girl? 99.99% of the time the name Angel is a girl, and the other 0.01% is bisexual. But since you ride a modded Gixxer 1000, I surely assume you're a guy, because not many girls ride a 1000, if any.

Find a deserted highway or long road, NOT a street with traffic on it.

Z06, I know you closed the topic, but I'd like to say this about your friend: "A cop who drinks and drives is like a priest who has sex." A definite sin!

Damn dude, you've got more races down than me, and I got mine back in Sept.
Nice run, the only S4 I've ran is the older V6TT one, they are still pretty quick.

BTW, sorry to hear about your friend.
