Stock AP2 vs. G35 (modded?)
I encountered an Infiniti G35 today. I'm not sure if it was modded or not. It was lowered, had some huge rims on it... Oh! And it had tinted windows, which most likely didn't do much for performance.
Anyway, he tried to race me from a dig but I wasn't interested at first. We entered the 60 W highway in Moreno Valley, CA, and he began skidding across the on-ramp, his tires making very horrendous noises that would have scared the average driver.
As soon as we were officially on the highway, he took off, thinking I was going to follow. I didn't at first but when he slowed back down in front of me, I began speeding up to pass him. He got in front of me again and the race began. I was on his rear end (no homo) the entire time. There was moderate traffic so I didn't want to switch lanes and end up crashing into someone.
I was driving top down, which I thought would cause me to end up far behind but he didn't gain a single car length on me. In fact, every time I began reeling in on him, we'd have to slow down because there were more cars than we'd prefer.
Eventually, I guess he couldn't handle having slight bursts of races when traffic cleared and decided to get into the car pool lane. Me being an idiot decided to follow. We cut in front of an SUV, got out of the car pool lane and he couldn't lose me until he got on the off-ramp, then cut a bunch of cars in order to get back on the highway. I can't really describe it without going into more detail and making this longer... Just know this much, the maneuver he pulled was so insane that I decided to not race this psycho any more.
I slowed down to the speed limit and he did so eventually. I caught up to him and gave him a
but he looked annoyed that I had stayed on his ass (no homo
) the entire time.
So in the end, nobody won but I did learn that if someone is insane enough to drive sideways through a on-ramp, you shouldn't race them in moderate traffic.
