Default Stock S2000 Vs Altima

I took a left onto pathfinder (a local street in my area) coming home from work. I see HID behind and it ended up to be an Altima. Was orange with a bodykit, dual exhaust and rims. My car is stock.

At first I was whatever about the car next to me because I didn't want to race anyone. But he pulled up next to me (I already knew he wanted to race) and reved at me. I contemplated hmmmm do I have a chance I was ehh why not it should be pretty even or my car should have a better advantage of weight.

I got to a red light and he look at me and started to rev. I brought my rev to get ready to launch. Bringing my revs to 4k (bald tires) and launch my car. My tires spin a bit and the Altima took the lead very slightly about 1/4 car length. I starting my normal transition going through my gears. First gear I started to gain what I lost. By the end of my first I was even but pulling on the Altima. Shifted into second smooth as silk then I knew I had him. I got about 90 and he was about 4 car length behind and I was like just shut it down. So I went for about another mile and took a right but semi cutting a C32 AMG. (I change lane with signal and about 4 car length) He high beam me and I was like hmmmm AMG (food chain) then I was forget it. Nice run I didn't think the Altima would have kept up like that but with those mods are supposed to be about 200 to the wheels.

Was it the new Altima? Usually "show cars" don't look for races against fast cars but maybe he had some mods under the hood. I am not aware of a hugh performance aftermarket for the new Altima yet but out the box the 3.5L V6 packs 245hp and 246 ft-lbs of torque. Good kill!

I know Stillin has a intake and exhuast for Altima that makes it basically 200 plus horse power. I am pretty sure it was the 3.5 liter motor. Have to admit it a pretty good for going straight

I can tell you right now it had to be the V6. I used to have the Nissan Sentra SER SpecV and I used to smoke the 2.5 Altimas. Same engine as the Altima, except this time they put it in a Sentra.
