Default Stretching the S' legs for the first time

Driving home from work yesterday on 295 north (for all of you who know New Jersey) I passed a stock (from what I could tell) pre-06 STI. As soon as I weaved through the cars in front of him, I guess he realized that I was probably up for a bit of racing. We spent the next 5 mins or so weaving through cars with him right on my tail. Traffic cleared up very briefly and he shot in front taking the lead. The next time the left lane cleared, he punched it. We were doing about 80, so I downshifted to 4th, and he was able to put an extra car length or 2 between us before we shut down a bit over 100. The next time we had some running room, I was ready, and shifted to 3rd at about 70-75, this time I stayed pretty even (couldnt tell 100% with him in front, but it looked like only a few feet in either direction at the most) till we shut down at 130mph. The S seemed strained with the top down somewhere around the neighborhood of 128mph where it looked like he started to pull, but again, hard to tell cause we shut down right after. I was somewhere around the 8k's in 5th. I got next to him and he gave me the "rock on" hand signal and I gave him a thumbs up and went on my way...What a rush!

yeh in my tests, the S seems to hit a brick wall at about 115mph with the top down. stock STi's are interesting races on the highway because depending on how well you drive, you could either stay right with him or he'll beat you. so def not bad considering your top was down.

I wouldnt worry at all about someone takin in a tag number and callin it in cause 200% of the time they wont do anything unless they see it themselves (cops that is), but street racin is always risky business, neva know when acouple are hidin out and from the stories i hear a conviction for that is HUGE $$$
