Tell me how it is done....launching that is
nixlimited,
personal experience, only rev to 6500 if your on a race track. street racing, i take my 2002 s2k up to about 7200-7300, because the roads are different, then dump the cluth and press the gas all the way, then redline, shift, redline shift, etc...

oh, and nix, most importantly, DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT!!! try this till you hit 2000 miles, that's when your clutch breaks in, and your car, depending on how hard you drive it, will either break in at 5000, (mine did, but i drive extremely hard), from what you say about your driving, the engine won't break in till about 7000 miles

Racer Chick -
Thanks for the info, I will be easy on the car until then. The problem is I don't know if I will ever get to 7000 miles before I sell the car
. Maybe I will have to put it up on blocks and just run it forward (like in Ferris Bueler except not in reverse). How can you officially tell when the car and clutch are broken in?
Thanks,
Nix

nix, the clutch breaks in at 2000, not matter what. when the engine breaks in, you'll just feel it. the car will suddenly feel a whole lot faster. that's what happened with me: i just woke up one day, and the car felt a lot faster. good luck buddy...
