Two mustangs and my "s"
Ok it is friday early evening and i was headed to the gas station before my trip down to the Jersey shore for some fun in the sun. Stopped at a light two cars back of pole position.
I see this black Mustang gt comvertible with a cobra type hood and one piece roll bar coming up from behind. I thought at first it was a cobra ...but it was not. It had the after market hood and exhaust. Nice big wheels and sounded really mean....
big tach. he pulled in the left lane so i got a good look at his car. I think it was a 4.6L maybe 97' . But it was modded...big time. so the light changes and he wants a piece of me revving between gears and so on....at first i was like hmmmmmm...what the "f"
i'll give it a shot.....the traffic in front turns off...nothing but open road. i am about three cars ahead cruising at about 40
in third setting him up for the third to second downshift. He
pulls equal then pulls about 1.5 car length ahead then he floors it. I am like douce. at least floor it with ya equal to me. You can tell he's not taking me seriously. "just another import". I jam into second then shift to third starting to make up ground.
around 85 he cuts it off. He knew i was going to get him so he stopped it . I was at his rear wheels made up more than a car length and was gaining more. HE was pissed and didn't look at me. by 100 i would have been ahead.
Then later that night at the toll booth ready to get on the NJ parkway. This white modded 5.0 gt with big wheels in back smaller in front. Exhaust and giant tach white mustang gt and crane cams sticker. he goes through toll i follow ....one lane on ramp to highway....he is ahead of me with three cars inbetween. I see him ahead of me merging at a nice speed (puff of smoke from his exhaust) he's now in one lane over from the fast lane I kick over three lanes on the merge I'm in fast lane now. Floored the whole time. caught up to him at 80 and briskly walked to a slight jog him to 105. At least three lengths ahead. slow down ....he slows down goes one or two car lenghts ahead and then floors it. I did not follow to much traffic feels good especially with my girl by my side!
