but by end of quarter mile thats like 8 to 10 car lengths.that pretty big difference.
.2 seconds in t he 1/4 mi is the equivalent to two cars...so it's more like 4 - 4.5 cars assuming the guy could get his T/A running 13.0, most likely he can pull a 13.5 since he doesn't sound like that great of a driver to begin with. So now you're down to about 1 - 1.5 car lengths. The s2k gets a 2 car jump and that's the race (Especially with the spoon exhaust helping at peak RPMS)....i believe it ! good kill i hate V8's too even though I still have one.(not for long)

At 100mph, you're covering 147ft/sec.
So .2 sec = 30 ft.
Divide that into car lengths as you see fit

DuessTT,

First of all to say I lied is absolute BULL *HIT on your part. I don't race too much and I admit I don't know tons about cars. But I call it like I see it. I've lost PLENTY of times and have ZERO problem admitting it. That night, for whatever reason (whether the guy sucked at driving, his car blew up half way through the race, or he was on crack while driving) I beat him by more than a car. I know it was a Ram Air and it was a LS1. Pappy(and you have no reason to believe him either) was there also, so you can ask him. Actually he knows a lot more about cars than I do, so he's the one that told me it was a LS1.

We went from a dead stop, I dropped it @ 7,000-7,500 and to be honest I don't remember what we raced up to, but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere in 3rd around 75 MPH. Don't remember exactly. I have no problem discussing cars and which cars are faster/better or whatever. I know there are plenty of cars better than the S2K. But to call my story BS and essentially me a liar, is IGNORANT and just plain STUPID.

It's logical and everyone pretty much knows that a modded Ram Air with ~350 HP would beat my almost stock S2K in a 1/4 mile hands down. But it made the kill all the more sweeter for me.

You're absolutely right. And to be honest when I raced that Ram Air, I don't remember if I had the Spoon Exhaust yet. I think I did, though...

No worries Duess. I don't race a lot to begin with but racing at hight speeds is not my thing. When I start to get up there it seems too dangerous for me and gets me nervous as hell...
