If you feel the need to "prove" yourself with your car, or against another car, you don't have the emotional maturity to be driving one. Enjoy your car for what it is; not for how it stacks up against anything else.

I don't get this post. I think the only car the S2000 need to prove itself is with the Miata (and whatever under $30,000 convertibles) and we all know the S2000 is the best car out there. This is like MT comparing a RX-8, 350Z, and a S2000. Which is better? Grapes, Apples, or Watermelons?
If you want a fast drag car. Get a 1988 convertible V8 mustang and Twin Turbo it. 9 sec street legal car btw! This is the best I can find http://www.turbomustangs.com/feature_cars/jeremy.htm I lost my friend's contact back in the east coast but he had a 9 second convertible stang as a daliy driver.
I don't own a S2000 yet but I'm looking. I want a new car that looks good to cruise in but I don't know what I'll do when someone wants to race me. I've been to 182 mph in my 3000GT racing a GSX-R 750 on I-70. I just hope I grew out of it.
Still drives like a bat out of hell though in my VR4 but it's hard to go fast in California with all the cars on the highway. I might change my view once I get a S2000. I might want to race every 350Z I see. Anyway, I'll probably vote for the Ricer but they're not even wroth the trouble to race.
As for now, my goal is to save gas by putt putting my S2000 around whenever I get one. Gonna keep the car away from Vtec!
