I know the 06 MRs are very quick from the factory - My friend has raced 2 of them in his modded SRT-4 and had pulled them by maybe a car. I know I couldn't beat a stock one with my S. Watch out for them.

Maybe and maybe not, but if they are stock then 'd give it a shot. I don't know how a BONE stock S would do against one, but here is mine against a stock evo9 mr from a 60 roll.
S2K vs. EVO9MR

He would creep a couple feet ahead in third, but once I would hit fourth I'd jump out and just keep pulling. won by close to 2 cars 60-150. And we didn't do just this one race, we did many with the same outcome.

My mods at the time were only V2, test pipe, toda flywheel.

Start from 70 mph on the highway. Take it to 120. You should pull nicely. (I have not yet raced an '06 or evo IX this is for the previous models)

it's gonna be pretty close, and really, it depends on the race.

if you race from 20-80, you're probably not gonna have enough time to pull and eventually pass the EVO
I witnessed this myself. I've raced a heavily modded evo, got beat by car lengths. I raced a stock evo(so he says) from 20mph to 80mph and his back bumper was at my front bumper, and i've raced what I was told a medium modded evo, and beat him by 1 and a half car length which I think he much have been a really bad driver..but I did race him from a 40mph roll to 130mph so I guess I had the advantage there. My car only has an invidia exhaust.

if u start from a roll from about 60 or 70, i say theyd take a small lead, but once u get past 100, u should pull quite easily. the AWD doesn't really allow it to accelerate as quickly as it does down low. from a dig, our S2k's would get blown away, but from a roll to the 100+s i think we should get the victory.
