The 06+ WRX is basically a COBB Stage I 02-05 WRX, just with more torque. Puts down 200 WHP.

I don't care about drivers, the S2000 will take a WRX from a roll. Drivers don't even really matter that much from a roll as they would from a dig.

Like I said, as the race goes on, the more the S2k pulls away.
^ Agree with the roll, but the celi thing is killing me. How is stg.2 going on yours. U getting a pro tune or are you going with a bigger turbo?

[QUOTE=Spartikus,Dec 27 2006, 12:34 PM] I don't know what forum you're looking on, but the 13's were done with some weight reduction, drag radials, intake, ported stock header, exhaust, and a tune. I haven't looked in too long to know, but last I checked there was a race header in the works and with a tune the protoype was making a hair over 200whp. 13's with a bolt-on Celica is definitely possible. A completely stripped Celica ran a 13.5 while others were 13.7-13.9 and that was with a MAX of 190whp.

You won't find them posted in newcelicas registry. They were in various threads that were posted well over a year ago, and I'm not going to dig. The ones that ran high 13's were not stripped, and the tune is with an APEXi PFC which is a direct plug and play EMS. How are drag radials(not full out slicks) not a bolt on? Last I checked, it was only 5 bolts that held on the wheels. I figured since all the RSX guys get to claim "bolt-ons" when they have drag radials and a tune that I could claim the same for the Celica. Sorry if you refuse to believe me, but this is way off topic.

Take note, I'm not here to make stuff up about a car that I don't even own. I just thought I'd share some info on it.

I don't know about the "new and updated" WRX, but the older one should be a tad slower than S2000 from a roll. From a dig, it may keep up with an S2000 to 60, but from there, it should start to fall behind. From what I've read, the updated WRX is very evenly matched with an S2000.

forgive me if this isn't a story but im interested to see if im crazy. my friend claims that his wrx is a faster car but im a better driver. i think the s2k is just plain faster. he has an 05 wrx with a 3in. d/p, testpipe, and cat-back, with an intake. no tune, just thew the parts on. my car is stock, well, invidia, but we all know how that goes. i know your gonna say give it a go and see what happens but my liscense is horrible and i need it to work.
What's the point of this thread, really? Support for a conclusion you've already reached? Opposition? Realize that nothing anyone says here matters in the real world.

Race the guy; have the answers you seek.

sold my STi to some guy in canada... he flew down to SoCal to buy it then drove it back.

I let it go for 25k with 25k on it. 2005 aspen white, that car was sooo much fun and i beat the shit out of it. best i could get was 13.4@ 101 at cali speedway, first time with any car at the track so i did OK.

I sold it because I wanted something differant, Picked up the s2k and I have had it for a year now and I dont think im going to let this one go. I love it.
