so i'm on my way to get some chow w/ my girl the other day and as i'm turning on to the main road i see a bug-eye wrx haul ass by, blow off valve swooshing. so i say to myself, "why the hell not..my clutch is slippin so let's see what happens."

from what i could tell, he had a blowoff valve and tbe, maybe more (i have v2, cat-less, catback HKS, bored tb, and header). traffic ensues to build up and he does the ever-so-popular ricer flyby at us w/ this weird look on his face while staring ...so anyway i catch up after this and just as soon as i get next to him i hear him drop gears and so i follow suit. well suprisingly (b/c slippin clutch didnt slip) i pulled him pretty hard by about 2 cars until traffic built up again.

cliff notes: weirdo in rex got owned by s2k w/ slippin clutch and passenger.

My friend had a 04 WRX with TBE and Boost Controller set to 15psi. From rolls he would be side by side with 00-04 Mustang GT's with I/E.

So I do have to say that it seems to be a pretty good race between yall 2. How long were yall going at it? I think you should have pulled harder.

 

Mustang GT's are slow though! lol. they are a waste of gas...

 

This is true but it was a WRX, not a STi.

So to say a AWD vehicle from a roll kept up with a RWD vehicle with more power to the wheels its worth telling.

From dead stops my friend walked all over the Mustang GT's.

 

yea i wouldve pulled harder if it weren't for my clutch being a pos. we didnt go at it for too long but yeah before my clutch went to shit, i could pull rexs w/ just tbe & blow off valve alot harder...but my bro and friend (02 and 04) stage 2 wrx's are a different story
