run a compression test....

put a dollar over the exhaust, if its sucking it in you have bent exhaust valves

if you have exhaust valves you will be able to tell without the dollar. The car will idle very very rough. Check the under the hood section. Also, from my understanding an over-rev only occurs due to a mis shift, since there is a rev limiter. But my honda dealership told me that you can crack the retainers just by "taking it to redline to often"

He didn't "over-rev". Therefore, he didn't bend any valves. Save your dollar.

So, how many times in the lifetime of an S2000 engine should you be able to take it to redline? Should you do it all in one day? A week? A year? Or should we try to restrict it to X number of redline runs per year so we can make the engine last 10 years?
Your Honda dealership is full of IDIOTS.
