it was sort of like a burnt smell...maybe clutch... I took the car out yesterday...and you could still kinda smell it under the hood (not as much)

I noticed a smell every now and then when I would rev the engine up.
Drove me nuts, thinking it was everything under the sun. Then I noticed that when other s2kers would be in front of me gunnin the engine the black smoke that comes out of everyones exhaust. The smell of which was exactly what I was smelling earlier. For 100th of a second you run rich. It smells a little metalic like. For lack of a better comparison, somewhat like a clutch/heated brakes, nothing to worry about.
