See if they will give you a $500 certificate towards service and accessories.

Did you give them the deposit in the form of a check/cash? Or was it a credit card? If it was the latter, call your credit card company and dispute it. You'll get it back.

actually.... there is a 30-45-60-90 (i forget which one..i think it is 90 days) grace period on that.... so if it has been 3 months or more (which in this case it sounds that way), he cannot dispute it anymore.

I've disagreed with Scot in the past but I think he is right about this one. In most states there is no such thing as a nonrefundable deposit. My brother has a dealership in Michigan, I'll double check this with him.
