A friend of mine had bought one when I was on vacation, came back and he wanted to give me a ride.

When we were taking a right and he proceeded to wind out first gear, hit second, the car kicked to the left which he caught then it proceeded to kick out to the right which wasn't as good of a turnout. The car ended up spinning us out, throwing us over a median and into on-coming traffic.

We were lucky that no one was coming and no one was injured!

Note to friend, don't drive on semi-bald tires on a slick road.

My first rear-wheel drive. When I got it me and my friend were in an empty industrial park tryign to get some cool pictures going sideways around a corner. I got a bit sideway and as I countersteered I held it took long the back end whipped around the other way and I did a 180 stopping just a foot or so away from slamming the entire drivers side of my car into the opposing curb. We left after that

Ouch. Blame it on the car's longish front end.

Another one, I raised the windows while the soft top latches were not securely locked. This caused the soft top to be pushed up by the windows ... I hope I did not mess anything up ... seals or convertible motor ... anyone know?

hmm

- got sideways on the test drive unwittingly WITH the salesman in the car (there was way too much tire shine on). I was only going like 20 trying to make a right to get on the little stretch of lake shore drive that the dealer did test drives on.

- Couldn't find the gas door.

- misjudged how quick the steering was and nudged a curb with the previously ABSOLUTELY mint RR wheel. (only a nudge, so a tiny scratch...and a slight tire bubble) lol. the car was 1 night old.

- Scratched the lip on a curb becuase of the car's deceivingly long front end.

- cold rev limiter at road america. It was 80 degrees out and the had been running for about 2 mins. I was doing corner work for that round.

- Put the top down the night I was taking it home. Left the E-brake on. Stalled at a light trying to take off because the E brake was on.

Man....I sound like an idiot.

Pulled into the garage, didn't know where the front end was. Forgot that it was like sitting in the back seat of my old car, scuffed the bumper cover on the garage wall - $400.

Wife getting to tell me that I park like a girl - priceless (for her).
