00 s2000 or 91 nsx
hi everyone, i am a newbie on this board but i wanted to know everyone's opinon about purchasing a 91 nsx or 00 s2000. I want to spend around the low 30000 mark. I love the way the nsx looks but i love the size of the s2000. I currently have a 94 supra tt but at least for me, its kind of a bigger body style. I still plan to keep this car.
So i wonder, what would you choose, and why..
I am not trying to start a flame war. Just want to know what your opinions are about these two great cars...
thanks in advance.

Consider insurance $$ and how old the NSX is (almost 12 years)... 30k for a 12yr old car. Ouch. (Even if its is a NSX). Now, I'm not saying you should buy a S2K... BUT If you go the NSX route, try and find a 94-95 model... or consider a Viper.

I briefly toyed with that idea as well ... I'm sticking with the '02 S2000 route because the NSX would be out of warranty. If something happens to the car, repair costs could be thousands of dollars for relatively minor parts. I was reading something where replacing the easily-broken door handle costs several hundred dollars because it's part of the window and lock assembly.
Hmm, thats tough-- since you already have the Supra TT, you have a nice car with plenty of torque and hp.
I think given that, I would choose the S2000 for the fun of it. You might be able to get an 02' S2000 for mid 30's and I think a few thousand more would be worth the glass window and other improvements.
If you didn't have the Supra, I'd say go either way (NSX or S2000) but given that you already have a power house, go with the S2000 for the experience.

The major question is - do you want a convertible/roadster? That's what the s2000 is and it's what the NSX isn't.
I loved my '91 NSX. Owned since new and sold 2 years ago in perfect condition. Way more performance than the S2000. It's more exclusive and an exotic (according to many). But it just drew way more attention than I could eventually deal with and I really wanted a roadster. After Honda came out with the S2000, I waited for the hype to die down and made the switch. I can use my S2000 as a daily driver if I wish which is something I never did with my NSX.
Decide what you want. You can find well maintained used NSXs because there are many anal owners out there (just like on this board). Do a search here for more opinions because this topic has been discussed a few times before.
BTW, my insurance premium was the same for both vehicles (USAA).

But that's a good thing.
A lot of NSXs are in good condition out there because all the owners seem like very very responsible people.

First off, let me say that supra looks awesome? What engine mods you have done to it?
Second off, I was also stuck with this decision when I got my S2k...I actually originally decided to go with the NSX just cause of how sweet they looked. Well, after spending 3 months looking for one in or near my state that was a good price and still in great shape I gave up...every one I found that was even close to my 30K number just wasn't up to my level of condition that i would be happy with...all of them had scrapes or severe interior wear or just not kept up well...So basicly it then came up to whether I wanted a really "used" car for 30k or a new top of the line S2k for 30k...I stand by my decision and haven't looked back!
