00 vs 02 S2K
02-03 already have a slightly softer rear bar. But from my experience the AP2 rear bar is better for the street.

Accident would be a negative but many trunks leak as a result of the unsealed trunk vent. Threads exist. Also, bagged out roof straps cause the top to not fully close. Fix the straps or just reach up and hold the bar over your head back until out of reach. No need to climb out. A perc of plastic window is you can unzip it and drop it down so your top becomes like a Bimini on a boat. Other wise different years have different personalities but you can get used to any of them.

Found an 00 NFR w/ 104k; has a Robbins Stayfast black cloth top with glass window, JPM Coachworks leather wrapped center console instead of the carpet. Looks to be in excellent condition. Some other small cosmetic mods.
Issues: small puncture on passenger side bolster, minor breakdown of foam in passenger lower bolster (not terrible and still supportive says the owner) and a slight squealing on startup after sitting a long period or is cold.
Things fixed: new OE clutch, pressure plate, rear main seal @ 102k. Driver and passenger regulators replaced @ 95k. And, new accessory belt and tensioner @ 93k.
Asking $13,900 for it.
I think that's high. I found a 02 with half the miles for $600 more in PA. This is in MI. But, it's had a lot of preventative maintenance. Was curious what a fair offer might be if he is high, which I think he is. Any thoughts?

Sounds like average mileage and average pricing, but it really depends on condition, history, damage, mods. Pics would give a lot more info. A Carfax (or similar) is always a good starting point, but they're not always detailed or accurate. Still, they're good info that can sometimes rule out a car. Any car with 100k+ miles should have an inspection with a mechanic... compression check, drivetrain condition, signs of damage, maintenance needed etc. Again, it sometimes rules a car out, or allows you to get a better price. If the seller refuses either it's a big red flag.
