other than the noisy clutch which dealerships are avoiding for 01' models ....... 4th gear pops out once in a while. I had some bad experiences at the dealership where I got the car from, so I am going to go somewhere else when it gets worse.

Do a search on "4th gear" you should see some related threads and comments.

Well, go to your local dealer and weasel your way into having them show you Honda's color chart for all model year 2002 cars. You will see the S2000 listed along with two new colors: a lighter silver and the ugliest blue I have seen in a while.

When should the 2002 S2000 be available to buy or order?

I'm not sure and the dealers don't seem to know either. The two or three around Columbus that I went to hardly even knew they had the color chart. But I read about it on here! Be prepared to realize that you know more about the car then the dealer does... especially if you browse around this site a while.

I went to my dealership today and they new nothing about the 2002 S2000. They did however have three 2001 S2000's in though. They had a white one with red int., a black on black, and a silver with red int.

Don't be like me and jump on a model that is only being sold for another two months. I picked up mine 5 weeks ago and I 4 weeks it will be considered a model year old. Beside the new glass rear window is on the MY02 you will be MUCH happier with the glass. My plastic is already hazing. Learn from other's mistakes bro, chill out for another couple of weeks.

AFTER I put money down on my Spa Yellow Pearl S2000, the salesman told me that this is the last year for this car. I thought "Wow! This will be an instant classic". However, in my most recent copy of Automobile Magazine, they go over all of the updates for all the manufacturer's 2002 models. Under Honda they say the S2000 will get a glass rear window and a livelier interior. That was the one thing I wish I got on mine. But, since I've had mine since May, I've had the top up when I wash it and when I park it for a long time. I'm getting a tonneau cover to remedy that though. The plastic window really isn't that bad if you take care of it.

re:01 tranny

I've had my silver/black for less than a week. Noisy clutch from day one (8 miles). Learning to live with it but always wondering if there's something major that's gonna happen.

still fun to drive and performs-accelerates, upshifts and downshifts smoothly.

Just wish the "at times" rattling would vanish.
