Obviously the choice is goign to come down to which car you like better, and price.

My choice was easy, I wanted a new car and wasn't in a position to buy a s2k until this year. Sure there are times I think it would be fun to have a 9k redline but it doesn't keep me up at night

Good luck with your purchase

The 2.2L seems more pleasant around town. Since I only have one car, that's a big factor for me.

i have an o3 so im biased,
but i would say the one you can get your hands on the fastest, with a great price and low miles.

I've had both. I had an '02 and now an '05. The 9K redline vs. the 2.2L is really a wash. The power feels about the same, and the run up to 9K feels a fraction of a second longer than the run up to 8.5K. Not a big deal over 500 RPM's. The interior is roomier in an '04-05...but you can get creative and switch door panes to accomplish the same goal. The '04-05 Interior is a little less spartan with nicer finishing..but again...not a big deal. The biggest difference is the suspension if you ask me. Depends on the driving you do too. Pre '04 Models suspensions are really rigid compared to the AP2. The AP2 is still stiff, but has a better day to day ride. AP1 models felt like that had sharper reflexes, and faster turn in, but less stability. AP2 models understeer a tad more than the AP1, but their stability is almost jackass proof. A few other things, the AP2 has the stronger rear end, wider rubber, slightly stiffened chassis, and the revised gear ratios to match the motor. On the negative side..we do have that clutch delay thingy..but I never powershifted either of my S2000's so I have yet toexperience nor complain about it! Styling is subjective...I liked both. I fugure you can snag an AP1 and retrofit the goodies out of an AP2 if yo were resourceful.

A suggestion on searching - you can also try searching on google... in the textbox simply type in your search terms, then put in:

site:s2ki.com

after your terms. Then it will only search stuff on s2ki.
