I'm going to turn 17 soon, and my dad and I have been shopping around for a car for me. We were at a Honda dealership, and there was an 02 AP1 in red and an 07 AP2 in Berlina Black. The AP1 had 37,911 and costs 18,000 while the AP2 has 17,511 miles on it costs 25,000.

Which one should I pick for practical daily use?

 

if your 17, buy the civic next to them

 

take the Ap1 but talk them down to $12k out the door, no more than $15k.

 

its personal preference, u have to drive both and see for yourself! U really got to know how to handle this car, one error and its over. S2000 is not a toy.

 

I really don't think a s2000 is a good first car.

 

we dont need another beautiful car wrapped around a tree from a dumb teenager. Get a slovic and learn from that, then when you hit 21 or so get an s2k

 

Honestly, get the 07. For a couple reasons....

I traded my 03 in for an 06, very good decision on my part. Was nice having a brand new car. Love the things that were changed, plus, I'm a sucker for the look of an AP2.

Second, you are 17, the 07 has VSA which will definitely save your ass one day if you get carried away, cause you will get carried away one day.... You're 17.

 

i would have to say an s2k is not the best car for u unless u are one of the very few 17 year olds that dont show off and can drive. but if u do get one get the 07 cause it will have tack control so u will have a better chance of not sliding the ass end into something.

 

LOL, so you're saying a 21 year old is more mature than a 17 year old? I've seen plenty of 21 year olds that are just as bad as a "dumb teenager".

 

Oh come on now, that's a bit harsh, if it were you at 17 and your dad was willing to buy you an S2000, I'm sure you wouldn't say, "Gee dad, I think the Civic really is the better choice for me so that I can learn and be a more responsible driver and then upgrade to the S2000 once I have a few more years under my belt."
