I agree with Bieg, There is a Honda dealer in Millbrae that has one of the original Honda Civic's in their showroom, in perfect condition. Do they sell it? No

I have worked in and around the classic car industry for several years, and I have to tell you that you are missing an important element of the "appreciation" argument: inflation. Many of the cars being offered as examples here (except the extremely rare ones that were built in quantities far lower than the ones in which the S2000s are being produced today

I hope Honda improves the S2000, annually, and makes a million of them. The more smiles out there, the better the world.

Some folks wish they had the only one.

Here's just one of a bunch.

i think i would take my mods out and trade it for an '02 if the silver is not too ugly, and if it indeed has the glass window and all the fixes

now i just gotta find a way to do that without my wife noticing....LOL

I didn't buy it for an investment myself. I would like to see it hold its value and not depreciate to quickly.

I like the idea of having a one of a kind. And the prestige that comes with. I'd love to still be getting the stares in two years that I get today. Part of the mystique of the S2K is that there aren't many out there for people to see so when you come around with it the "wow factor" is way up there.

I was at a local Pizza Hut for lunch today. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, that walked by it checked it out. They hardly noticed the Z3 two spots down from my S2K.

How many of you get excited when you see the Z3 or a Vette for that matter?

Skyline GTR, R32...or R33, take your pick, but I do see your point, and you are correct for the most part.
