Default "05 front brake pads on '01 ?

i need new front pads on my 2001.

i 'm finishing a set of axxis ultimates, which are the only pads i'm familiar with since they were on the car when i bought the S.

first, do the pads from the newer model (2005-) S2000 fit with no problems? same caliper i'm guessing. i understand these pads are better than the older model's pads.

also, how would they compare to the axxis pads?

TIA!

agree- i wouldnt go to the new pads either... they are known to be dustier than the old ones that came on your car.

That settles it...looks like I'm getting some old pads. I never made the switch because I thought there would be less braking power. I thougt bigger wheels necessitated a more abrasive pad.

Does anybody know why Honda decided to change the part?

I was told there was changes with the ABS

if they use a softer pad to stop quicker, ABS will not lock up the softer dusty pad
