Someone hit mine while it was parked about 1 month after I got it. Not fun.

Best of luck with getting everything worked out!

I was reading in the CR forum and a member had his car rear ended the day he bought it and was driving it home.

The fact that it happened on a CR on the same day probably takes the cake. He had pictures posted somewhere too, though the damages probably are not as bad as the accidents described in this thread.

Sorry to hear about what happened, I would be furious.

I remember someone owning their car for 2 days before getting it totaled. I ended up buying some parts from their car.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully I'll get the financials worked out, I'm certainly going to be asking for diminished value reimbursement as well. I've got full coverage, including uninsured motorist, so I should be okay. She had an '09 Murano with the full Nav/extras package, so I'm def going after her for everything.
I don't think you can claim diminished value against your own insurance company, only theirs if they are at fault and accept liability.
Good point but you probably can have your insurance company claim it against the" at fault "party.
At minimum ,it should be a valid argument.

They might. Most likely you'd have to file a small claims suit against the person that hit the car. Depends on the state's laws and/or procedures for the matter.
