That's a bit ridiculous, in my opinion. If I have the services done elsewhere, could it cause me potential problems down the road regarding warranty claims? Because I think the next service isnt going to be this cheap!

This happened to me a couple of months ago when I hit 7500 miles. I think I may have even been charged $120. There was a whole check list of items they did on top of the oil change, but nothing that really had to be done. Basically, if you ask for the 7500 mile service you will be charged $100+, but if you just ask for an oil change it's $25.
